I would like to take a few moments to thank all of you for the kind words, condolences and prayers expressed in your responses.
They are appreciated by me and my crew but more important they are appreciated by Steve's family. Thanks again for showing that NJFishing members are a class act.

I also would like to commend the Manasquan Coast Guard for their prompt response to my call. From my initial call until they had Steve on their boat took exactly 6 minutes. They are all well trained professionals and we are very fortunate to have them so close when there is a time of need.

Very sorry to hear this. It really sucks. Kudos for doing your best to take care of him.

While I didn't know Steve, it sounds to me like he left this world on his terms surrounded by good friends, a great Captain & crew, doing what he loved & catching one last big one. May we all be so blessed to leave this world like Steve did.

May God comfort his famiy & friends. See you in paradise Steve.

Very tough situation all around and as everyone knows Capt. Paul is one the best in the business.

My condolences to Steve's family.

Just goes to show you how life is too short...and yes at least he passed doing what he loves...may we all be so fortunate.

Best,

Joe T.

Very sorry to hear this and my sympathy to the family. This could happen to anyone, charter or private.CPR should not only be the captains responsibility but also the mates. If you are a private boat owner take the course,it could save someones life.Good job Capt. Paul and again my heart goes out to the family.
