Not "the start of the dorsal fins", the start of the second dorsal, it's pretty clear in your photo, 2nd post.

Bigeye vs. Bluefin
Bigeye - Notice the long pectoral fins (longer than both bluefin and yellowfin but shorter than true albacore), they extend passed the beginning of the dorsal fins, especially noticeable in the fish on the left Bluefin - Short pectoral fin, does not reach the start of the dorsal fin |

I guess next time I catch bigeye I'll make sure to give you a call so you can personally come down and see with your own eyes rather than have you make inaccurate assessments just based upon pictures on the internet. |
