It is reassuring, that the majority here are considerate of other anglers,………….especially, the kids.

Getting tired of the “I, I, I,………me, me, me…” posters.

I'm just hoping it strengthens the SB for the fall / winter months. I enjoy the clinton stretch, a few nice trout will make it that much better.

Don't need waders on the mighty Rahway
Probably have to ride your bike down Route 1 to get to Roosevelt Park Pond or Route 22 to get to Echo Lake
Of course it's pointless after first ice

But I am starting to get the contrarian nature

No worries
I will move every fish the cormorants don't get

Stopped at a few semi-well known spots on the Musky yesterday. Water was gin clear, somewhat low and very leafy. Didn't see any fish at any of the spots I tried. Spoke to a bunch of fishermen who didn't catch or see anything either. Point Mt. was packed. Maybe they all got dumped their.

stocking updated

Quote:
There have been changes to the scheduled trout stockings of the Ramapo River in the Ramapo Mountain County Reservation (Bergen County, unusual bear activity) and the upper section of the Black River (Morris County, low water flow).

For details, view the Updates section on the Fall Trout Stocking page at http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/flstk15.htm#update

Heard from an angler that they were hammering them @ the Big Flat Brook, yesterday. Airborne breeders! Heavy meat on stringers.

Fall trout go in @ all the same stocking points as the Spring trout.

Big Flat Brook water temp. was 53 F, yesterday,......nice & cold,...probably why they were hitting good.

My experience fall trouting on the lower SBR is that it is best to wait until the first or second week of Nov. for the water to cool sufficiently to induce action.

I'm staying down the shore right now so I took a drive over to the Manasquan River to see if there was any catching going on. Every person I spoke with said they got nothing.
