So when will we know about all the changes in our favor in 2018? Can't wait!

We should see new proposals in April regarding our local fisheries. On a side note, regardless of anyone’s political affiliation, and we all can say plenty about present and prior administrations, the fact that some positive measures were created recently should be viewed as just that. Nothing more, nothing less. We have taken it on the chin many years. We all want to do our part. Just give us a level playing field. I’m sure we can make it work. We have been heard, let’s see where it goes. Thanks to all who are involved.

The commercial fisherman are far more regulated and monitored than the rec side.

I'm with you. How can you compare Donald Trump to the New Deal, no matter your political affiliation?

I'm with Gerry Z. ... don't let this thread get all political.... way to divisive .... and don't start the rec vs. comm pissing match either...... point is that due to all the hard work of the few who represent us rec anglers we are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks to all who have put in time and effort and $$ in the fight for rec angler fisheries

No the point is TRUMP is keeping His word and gutting needless regulation. Political or not that's the name of that tune!

That is how millions of pounds of juvenile whiting and ling were eliminated by our own commercial fleet in Belford.Only the fish sold are documented. Nets destroy everything not only fish. The bottom of the ocean is disturbed and changed for the worst. It is not a pissing match but the old saying" They have to eat too" has a price that goes with it. It is devastation.Buy them out!
