Bass in Hunterdon

Not a hidden gem but the swimming lake at RVR has some good bass in it. Just hit it from the causeway early before the swimming area theatrics get underway around 8 AM.

If you want numbers the Delaware is a good spot to try. Plenty of nice spots to fish from shore. Easy to catch a bunch of smallmouth and size is there. You just have to weed through the dinks. 3-4" swimbaits, small cranks and helgrammites if you can get them.
