You don't need the boat. Spotlight and shore hop. Some areas you can literally walk on the Carp. Large fish too.

Been there done that much rather kill a hundred and throw them in a barrel then drag 5 around with me on shore. Biggest thing with bowfishing is covering water. The more water you cover the more fish you see, the more fish you see the more you can shoot

There is a ramp on the Raritan in New Brunswick. But leaving your truck unattended in that part of that town is risky with the public housing projects so near...Charlie
