I would not patronize any boat that doesn't allow braid.
Except night bluefishing I can see where that could pose a problem.

All of my inshore spools have braid so if a boat doesn't allow braid, I will go on another boat. Braids a pain in the ass to get tangles out but if you know what your doing, there shouldn't be many tangles. Thing is on a party boat you get all types of fisherman from first time fishing ever to very expierienced.
