The rope makes it a lot safer to retrieve your body.

I think we all were in his shoes in the past and made not so wise decisions. We all went through learning motions some to remember and some to forget. Most of us lived to tell about it. LOL

I speak totally from past experience I almost drowned going thru the ice at Davidson Mills Pond which is just a bit upstream from there!!!
Believe me I have done a ton of dumb shit but learned from experiences or advice from others.......
Not looking to Bash or Insult Andre!!!!! AT ALL !!!!
I just don't want to see anyone fall thru the ice and die!!!
I know we all do things that are not in our best interest but it really upsets me because Andre seems like an intelligent person and that was def not a smart move.

I wanna do some ice fishing at night but it will be well planned, well equipped and with at least one if not more people. AND the ice needs to be SOLID!
Possibly a little later in the season.....

I totally understand, but it seems that some were a bit harsh on Andre. I fell through river ice when I was 6 and only my 6 year old cousins with me. I survived w a bit of frostbite. I just don't ice fish rivers or unknown bodies of water. For sure not by myself

pick up a personal GPS safety device and some floating waterproof flares if you're going to go ice fishing alone.

I value everyones output out here and whatever was said was said with the best intentions.

The way I see it ...its like your favorite uncle telling you exactly how it is when you done something stupid. You hate to hear it from him but you know he is right.

Thank you all.
