Thank you, Gerry, and everyone else who replied to his post. I loved being on a destroyer and travelling half the world. I steered my ship through the Suez Canal and back. Where would anyone get an opportunity do that? My Navy uniformed helped me score with all the girls, too. LOL.

Thank you Gerry..and a thank you to all that served/paid the ultimate so that I could serve in a peacetime Navy; and thank you to all that have served/are serving now or paid the ultimate after my stint so that we can still live in the U.S.A. in peace...Remember, freedom is not free.....
