Not sure it was ever a Lunker Bass lake. Currently its Splitrock, Parvin, Assunpink and Delaware.

I think many fish taken through the ice swallow bait(shiners) so its take it or leave it. I've always thought shiners/minnows should be banned ice fishing. Too many fish hooked deep especially pickerel which guys just toss aside on the ice for the crows to pick at. Think about it: by the time the flag goes up and you run over to get it, it could be 15 seconds or more if you have tip-ups spread out far enough. By then that minnow is halfway down a fishes throat. Of course some of the open water bobber guys do the same so I say ban live bait fishing altogether. I'm half joking of course but we do have lure only trout regs for streams so why not lure only other species regs for lakes and ponds? Just a few select lakes. It would be interesting to see what if any affect it would have on fishing success and/or fish pops/sizes.
