Cool fish. I have only seen/caught one while fishing passaic in Paterson a few years back behind the high school. That was an interesting place to wet a line.

Very cool, very ugly fish. Congrats on the nice catch. Still amazes me the variety of fish available here in North Jersey.

SC,

Caught one of those carp I would guess maybe ten years back at the Dundee Dam. My recollection is my friend I was fishing with snagged it. All these years I thought it was a normal carp which had been exposed to too many toxins but after seeing your picture I'm almost positive it was a mirror carp. Never knew there was such a species. They're certainly not going to win any awards for looks but you learn something new every day.

Crazy catch on a plastic. Was it corn flavored!
