![]() Yes the new gulps are a lot softer and tear easily, after a couple of fish caught the bait is torn up and has to be changed. The older ones were firmer and stayed on the hook better. Gulps are not cheap and should last longer.

![]() There was a thread several weeks ago about how the new GULP was softer & inferior than previous years on another website (sounds like Dass Darn) where several of the members there express thier displeasure with the new GULP and communicated their sentiment back to Berkley. One member in particular had a running dialogue with Berkley. The outcome of this dialogue (if I recall correctly) was that Berkley admitted that there was a problem in the production line (forgot the exact problem-I'll have to go back and re-read that thread) that caused the GULP to be softer and that they had already taken steps to correct the problem--Time will tell I guess.
