It does twist, but since it is not as stiff as mono it doesn't loop up.
I like braid for bass fishing, especially around weeds and wood. I primarily use it with spinnerbaits and weighted soft plastics. I typically use 30# Spiderwire on my bass outfits, and that can handle almost everything Jersey can throw at you. Using braid in super-clear water (such as RV) is a no-no, unless you use a mono or fluoro leader.
I've tried lighter braid on spinning rods for trout, and I don't like it; I miss a lot of strikes from fish, likely because the no-stretch braid does not absorb the shock of the strike and the hook tears from the fish's mouth. The only time I will use it for trout is if I'm drifting light jigs in streams on a semi-slack line, so I can feel the bite better.
