The Salmon fishing can be more like opening day Trout around here.... combat fishing.
As Ed sez lots of line capacity is a must. If I hooked 6 fish in one day and landed 1 or 2 it was a great day.
You will lose a lot of them, but the runs and the fight are awesome!!
Some of the most powerful fish in the US. Actually Im headed up sunday on a suicide run. Ill be up in SALMON COUNTRY around 8 am. Ill probably get back to NJ around midnite. Hopefully get into some fish. FISH-ON!!!

River? What is this "river" you speak of? Never seen one? Can you fish in these so called "rivers"?......

Ed, I know what the post meant, just busting balls.

I LOVE trolling. Guessing one of the very few on the site who do. Hit the lake every summer trying to time the run when the bastards are staging in that 120-20 FOW.

Good luck up there. Have done the suicide run before. Sore arms and long boring ride home is always a good road trip.

There was lots of rain up there yesterday so beware.
One of my employees was in Ohio on his way home to NJ yesterday.
He's stuck where RT 80 crosses the Susq. River the road was closed in both directions as of 6 PM last night. The Oswego River is runnig a bit highas well

Thanx Wilson, Ive been on the computer checking forecasts, traffic, road conditions. Pa and NY state are a friggin mess. That Susquehanna river is higher then its ever been on record, amazing the crazy weather were having lately. Rt 17 is a river, there was a mudslide somewhere. Mother nature!!!

Half of Oswego is closed to fisherman due to the drownings that occur every year. Lots of ropes and bouys blocking certain fast water holes. But actually the local Pd is not enforcing the DANGER KEEP OUT signs. The power company there is harrasing anglers as they get in the water and head for the dam. They cant keep people from fishing but there trying very hard. Power company doesnt own the river so keep on fishing! FISH-ON COMIN DOWN!!!
