12 in. is a good crappie. You can target them with small curly tail grubs rigged on a small jighead. Find em and it's lock and load. One of the best eating fish in freshwater. They will strike bass lures from time to time. My PB is 2 lbs. on a popper. Attacked it like a big bass too. Good luck.

was using 1/2oz rat L traps, 3 different ones...from top to bottom is crappie, 1st LMB and 2nd LMB...the top one i caught with at spring lake, the middle one twice at scarlet oak and the bottom one was a first time catch (just picked it up last week)...tried senkos (4 & 6") but no love taps at all...was throwing them in the NW corner of scarlet catching nothing but underwater weeds
