Re: Noaa 'champions' Another Closure
It's not about Democrat or Republican. It's about goverment by bureacracy and NOAA is just one of many that are going to get into every corner of our lives including fishing, hunting, what car we drive and what temperature we keep our heat set at.
This administration has pushed and continues to push this forward but the previous administrations have done this too but not this fast. |

Re: Noaa 'champions' Another Closure
One of many but certainly one of the largest issues at hand is getting the "Flexibility" Bill in the Magnuson Stevens Act passed. All the closures and regulations come about primarily in the name of the MSA and how its interpreted which has been going on for many years now and spanned both party lines and many administrations. Funny how this bill is supported by more democrats than republicans but again the PARTY lines on this issue are NOT the focus point.
The same can be said for Fishermen, we span both party lines and represent various political opinion but I hope we are on the same page when it comes to fighting for our rights as fishermen. If we make this a political "Party" issue we are doomed. Personally I will support every politician that supports and fights for this flexibility bill when I consider Fishing as the agenda. I will continue to have my own opinions on all the other issues the country faces as well and support those accordingly. We have gone to great lengths to try and bring a "FISHERY" Management board to the site to discuss and debate "FISHERY ISSUES". While politics certainly play a huge role, this Forum is NOT the place for NON Fishing Political posts.

Re: Noaa 'champions' Another Closure
One can only hope it's temporary!
It's all biased, cooked and skewed data these Agencies are working with perpetrated by scientists and policy makers with vested interests. That's the truth and the real fight fisherman are up against. The fight must carry on by us "peasants revolting" against this Administration and these Agencies to disprove these fish stock claims just like the lame global climate crisis policy makers had so many believing. Where's Al G. now? Fight the good fight, speak up and the real truth will eventually prevail and win the war.
