Eagle Point Campground on Schroon is great if you can get a spot and between the Municipal Launch, Eagle Point and the Horicon Boat Launch you can easily cover the whole lake in a kayak. There are some big Northerns around the weeds and nice smallmouth off of Schroon Manor (also has camping). Paradox Lake, and a little farther NE, Eagle Lake have their spots. Don't miss Paradox Brewery if you like beer. New Jersey people own the place.

Thanks for all the great info everyone, I really appreciate it. Can’t wait to head up there. I’ve been wanting to fish/camp the Adirondacks for a long long time, this is the year for sure. I’m doing a camping trip to round valley in 2 weeks. I’ve camped there before but I had a 16’ boat. This is the first time I’ll be doing it from a kayak, so I have to pack smart.
