Fun year with lots of memories! Like Eddie said, didnt get out as much as the last few years due to rain/work/family, but definitely caught some fish. Tried some new species and techniques this year, including ice Landlocked Salmon and Trout and once the ice melted, trolling for Landlocked Salmon and Hybrid Stripers. Mikey of course showed me the ropes with the planer boards and it was game on.

Rich, I thought you had a huge collection of fish you were gonna post? Quit holding back

I had a lot of new species, PBs, and overall great experiences fishing this year. Most notable trips would be the floats on the raritan with AndyS.

Looks like I'm not the only one that had a fun year on the water. Great catches, guys!

2018 was not bad for the black mamba and me..... had the mamba out for her yearly visits all around nj and some outta state trips. No to many beasts this year but a lot of fish caught. Some highlights of my my season were
- new pb rainbow 7 lbs 2 oz- biggest rainbow 2018 rvta
- new pb pike 41” skillfull angler
Had the boat for first road trip outta state and did well with the salmon in Ontario, did the night bite and did decent with the eyes and brids, hybrid. Bite was on fire again this year with many brids brought to the mamba this year.

I had a great 2018. 8 new personal bests: 26" walleye, a monster 60 plus pound striper (likely 65ish), 29" laker, 16lb brown, 25.5" NJ stream rainbow, 40"+ pike, 200+ lb tarpon, monster sheepshead.

I also caught 11 new species: blue marlin, Sierra mackerel, roosterfish, Pacific horse eye jack, Pacific jack crevelle, bluefin trevally, Costa Rican yellowtail snapper, tiger musky, Atlantic salmon and houndfish. Lastly, I got my esox slam, catching a musky, tiger musky and northern pike in one day.

Also had great tuna and marlin fishing off NJ, and caught and released more than 40 trout over 20" across three states. Had some king salmon and sturgeon as well.

A few pics:

Damn, JD!
Nice posts and some good looking Jersey fish fellaz! Though I haven't been able to get out as much as would've liked this year, I kept my eyes on these boards and still enjoyed seeing what's going on. So out of the time I was able to spare and actually wet a line, I did get a few decent fish and also got to explore new areas. No #Rivermonster this year😉😉, but any time I was out there was still great! Got some carp, river striper that me and my boy thought was hybrid at 1st, pike, and Larry from the Passaic; the gift that keeps on giving. Some Larry and my PB yellow perch from the Ramapo area. Decent smallie & Larry while me and my boy were killing it at Point View Res. And also tag-teamed what looks like the same exact tiger muskie that Justin caught. When I saw your pic, I knew it had to be! Hopefully, 2019 will bring me more free time. If so, you know where I'll be!
