Tried to fish Swartswood this past Saturday. It has become a circus with all of the kayakers. They were all over the lake which was not the issue. They had the boat ramp completely blocked, hanging out at the ramp.
Me and another boater had to basically barge our way in to get to the ramp and load our boat . Totally inconsiderate people, they need to learn that a ramp/dock is for loading and unloading in a minimal amount of time and let others have access. |

That is not isolated to that lake. I fish Carnegie and Farrington in central NJ, and they hang out at the ramp like its a parking spot. Plus, they park like we are in a regular lot and have zero consideration for the trailers. I love people.

These kayakers are very ignorant and have no clue about boat ramp ethics

Mostly just read posts but I have to comment on this one. Fished and pleasure kayaked for years, age got in the way. Noticed kayakers think they're launching a boat as in trailered boat. Back down ramp, pull it off or out of vehicle, chat, hydrate "you must hydrate". While trailered boater waits and curses. No boat ramp ethics at all!

the worst part is that there is a specific cartop launch 1/4 mile down the road from the boat ramp
