6 lb 10 oz
Went carping in 88 degrees Robert G Martin Lake this evening on a sunny, hot 🥵, humid day after a thunderstorm. Wind was light southwest. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting. Threw out corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released a bluegill with a #14 gold treble hook on 2 lb test line with no bait and a bluegill and 6 lb 10 oz snapping turtle 🐢 with canned whole kernel corn 🌽 bait. Lost 2 turtles 🐢. Landed 73 turtles 🐢 this year. Minnows were in the shallows. Great blue heron, great egrets and an adult bald eagle 🦅 were fishing nearby. Took pictures. Didn’t see any fishermen. A trail was mowed through the field.
