Found a fishing 🎣 rod and reel at the Heislerville Impoundments this afternoon and left it because it is left handed.

I'd be less concerned with the rod than the angler. Strange place to see a rod hanging off the ground from a tree right next to a lake which appears to have tight access and maybe a steep bank during the winter. Did you check with authorities to see if anyone was reported missing in the area?

No, I think a striper poacher left it on the ground and I put it in the tree. There is a large J hook on the end of the line. You’re right about the steep banks and tight access. Lots of people fish 🎣 there in the winter on the high tide. There is no water on the low tide.
