Three different kinds of doubles
Went ultralight jigging in a 40 degrees NJ lake this afternoon on a sunny, cold day with a nor’wester small craft advisory. Air temp was only 38 degrees. I wore gloves but still got very cold. The parking lot was nearly filled when I arrived. More than 20 fishermen were there. I caught and released 21 white perch and 15 yellow perch including 5 doubles with Walmart red worm halves on two gold hooks and an 1/16 oz leadhead jig on 4 lb test line. Landed 3 different kinds of doubles: white perch, yellow perch and one of each. Caught and released 375 fish in 10 trips in the same spot this year. I’m still using my second container of 30 worms.
