Trout opener / Sunday slabs
Well got in the 2022 trout opener tough conditions but I got it done. River was a little stained and running high. Pink salmon eggs were the ticket for me this year with some on the powerbait. No big fish caught or seen. Sunday I ran a guide trip with some well known njfers. We had to keep moving to stay on top of em but we put a nice catch together boxing up. The guys wouldn’t let me just stand and watch so I was forced to fish. Water temp warmed up a few degrees since during the week so that’s good. Let’s hope this weather holds and we don’t get 6” of snow next week

Re: Trout opener / Sunday slabs
hey you guys did well good eating crappies there. that wind was a pain in the ass but i did manage to get a bunch myself, one was a 1lb15oz best so far this season. the snow was a surprise lets hope that was short lived with the lake so full the bigger crappies should move into the shallows when it starts to warm up a bit. I am still after" EL CRAPO " i will find his ass sooner or later he has managed to elude me so far...
