PB Brown
Went to RV the other day. 1st time ever and excited to catch a laker. Trolled 20 n 30 FOW from hearing they were shallow. No marks. Moved to 40 n 50ft and finally saw arches on the Garmin. They wouldnt take our spoons on troll nor our jigs when we stopped. Fighting the skunk my buddy suggested going for smallies by the Riprap in 15 to 25FOW. BOOM...Big hit on a bladebait. Man....what a fight...this beauty went airborne like 10x before she hit the net. Just shy of 20 inches. I've only caught our native browns in our small streams n creeks under 10 inches. So this was by far my best brown without a doubt. One of my Favs catches ever. My buddy landed a fatty rainbow which had been in the lake a long time by looking at her colors. She looked more steelhead. Ide have thought landlocked but RV doesnt have any from what I understand. Ide say around 2lbr or so and she fought like a beast! He landed the 1st largie of the season as well.
Cant wait to figure out RV and learn the lakers. Spring is here gentlemen... LETS GO! |
