Thumbs up Raritan river Rainbow trout 11/9/18:

High water but still a blast. Hardest part was trying not to drown, love fishing that BIG water. Had to go to the heavy jigs today. Then my poor little over worked Daiwa reel locks up and starts coughing up parts while I am standing in the middle of the river. Pulled out the part and kept fishing. Leaves got to be a real PIA. Small in stature but these trout smoked my drag today.

Nice fish. Waters still pretty high, but fishable, wondered how you didn't get swept away.

Poor BG, it still works?

Pulled out whatever part it was and just kept fishing, gonna have to put that reel on the sidelines injured reserve for now.

Central Jersey Stream Team 11/12/18:
A great day for a clean-up with the Bonnie Brae kids! 4 adults and 5 youth gave a little TLC to the 200 trees planted along Riverwalk in Raritan about 10 years ago. They were growing with the metal wire, plastic tubing, and protective hose still attached!
We collected 20 or so full contractor bags and some miscellaneous trash left from the receding flood waters. Amazing job today team!

nice fish andy, i honestly have no clue what that part is haha, but if the reel still worked perfectly it was clearly just a bells and whistles part that you don't even need haha

judging from this video, near the end where he's looking at the spool, it could be something for the "clicking" sound when you peel line off the drag.
