Thumbs up My semi-annual visit to Rutgers MCS 7/19/18:

Another pop in meeting to talk to the people at Rutgers Marine and Coastal Sciences. My friend Anthony is in charge of all the data taken from the monitoring of the Island Farm Weir fish ladder on the Raritan river. Talk about a TON of scientific data collected in 5 years. I always leave there with more questions than answers. Funny I never went to college and barely made it out of high school but I am always welcomed by the young adults working feverishly compiling all this information not only about the Raritan river by many other projects as well. One of the other projects we talked about briefly was the monitoring of fish such as Blackfish and Black Sea Bass on artificial reefs right here in New Jersey. Some of the staff recently returned from a fact finding study in Mongolia. Great people doing really cool stuff !!
