Default Rainy Day Browns

Made it out to my favorite wild trout streams in Morris County after the rain slowed on Saturday. The trout were very aggressive in the slightly off colored water. Ended up with about a dozen between the three of us, including my friends first brown trout. Most were between 8"-12" but ended the day with a real nice one.

All fish were caught on small hair jigs and spinners, and all fish released. I did my best to pinch down all the barbs, in fact my palm is killing me from doing it. Does anyone know where to buy barbless spinners? Jigs? or is there some sort of special pliers for pinching down barbs..?

I should have mentioned, I was using pliers to pinch the barbs. Maybe I should pick up a good pair of hemostats.

Thumbs up Re: Rainy Day Browns

Nice trout ! I guess small needle nose pliers would work on those barbs.

Good pair of diagonal cutting pliers work great for removing barbs off of hooks
