Welcome to the best site in NJ dude! Plenty of contests out there! It's just the wrong time of year to find em! Wait til the spring. Plenty of club ran contests going on in the spring summer and fall.

going to be tough with a kayak but lake hopatcong knee deep club runs about 1 contest per month april-october on all different species.

I had been using onlinefishingtournament.com last year but the guy who runs it doesn't seem to be putting up any new contests any time soon.

The NJF ice fishing contest was such a dud with the sketchy ice that I think we should do a multi month, multi species contest (same as the ice contest but with open water). I'd run it if no one else wanted to, but we'll see.

I'm also trying to talk fishidy.com into doing some contests as well, i'll keep you updated.

These guys run a series.
Check out the site. But I think you pretty much need a boat.

Thank You Chrisper4694. I will keep an eye out.

Thanks for the link fishingbuddies. My kayak does not have a livewell. Maybe I gotta start looking into a johnboat. HMMMM

.

Once "ice fishing season 2016-17" is over, we can put another online fishing tournament together as a forum. Maybe we can even have a kayak-specific category.

My participation is incumbent upon it being a catch-and-release tournament.
