Miss Belmar - WEEKEND WRAP UP

Saturday, we read some fish and saw plenty of bait. At times we read them very well, however, we were only able to catch a few keeper stripers and a few throwback stripers. Our pool winner was Carlos Grou from Mount Laurel, NJ.

Sunday, we fished 2 miles east of our inlet. There were birds working on bait and sometimes stripers breaking all over the top. We read them top to bottom at times, but could not catch them. With the amount of fish under the boat, we should have caught hundreds, but we were only able to catch a few stripers a drift. Most of the time nothing. There were no lack of fish, they just didn’t want to eat. It looks like with the water temperature dropping, the fish are moving to the south quicker. Our pool winner was a tie between Mike Pino & Frank Pags from Philadelphia, PA.

We are not sailing this week. We will resume this weekend if the weather allows it and if the fish are here. If not, we will tie up until the mackerel come.
