Looping a small jig or hook
I noticed guys having trouble with this. I came up with this solution last year though I'm sure it's not original.
Put a thin piece of braid through the jig eye Put the braid through the loop Bring the braid back through eye Pull loop through eye |

Re: Looping a small jig or hook
Great tip. Just saw it and wish I would have seen it sooner. It would have saved me several hours fishing this season.

Re: Looping a small jig or hook
Great tip, I think I am going to expand on that by preloading the braid on the jigs for the day with a simple loop through and twisting the two open ends back around the loop a few times. See what happens

Re: Looping a small jig or hook
Nice tip! I actually figured it out a few season ago, but it look about 30 years for the light to go on I have since taken to carrying a bobbin threader in my jig box.. which is an inexpensive tool often used by fly/jig tyers..

Re: Looping a small jig or hook
I got one out of my wives sewing stuff but how do you get a loop through? All you can do is pull a single strand through.

Re: Looping a small jig or hook
Sorry to leave out an important detail.. I snip the wire close to the bead on one side of the threader.. works the same as the braid.. just easier for me to handle...
