Default Carnegie Lake

Have had terrible luck with 8 straight skunks (mostly at the very low farrington and marlu) so I decided I will try carnegie lake since I havent tried it. Was just wondering if anyone new the best place to launch (cartop jon boat) and any other tips or tricks for the lake. Thanks!

There is a boat launch on the northwest corner of the lake near the dam. If you work the shoreline, you should catch some fish. The bass are eating shad now.

Cool Re: Carnegie Lake

Route 27 just south of Kingston. There's a semi-public parking lot with boat launch. Electric motor only. Ditto on working the shoreline.

What species are you targeting? What lures/bait are you using? What time of day and how deep are you fishing? 8 straight skunkings is enough to drive a sane man crazy!

Lol I might as well be fishing skunksville. I fish primarily frogs, buzzbaits and spinners along shorelines for bass and pickerel. Lakes including in the skunking are Farrington, marlu and davidson mill. I have had a hand full of explosions on the frog but most didnt actually get it and a couple I just missed which makes it even more frustrating

Same here, we put in by the park next to the Aquaduct, been getting bass on spinnerbaits and plastics. We fish it from the park, down to the locks in Kingston

Andre I dont know the last time you went to farrington but most of thr pads are gone. There are a few and thats where I have got my hits on the frogs but no takes and only one night. I have heard only bad things about the DnR canal so I have never tried it. You guys have fished it recently?
