Miss Belmar - weekend wrap up

Friday night, we fished east of the inlet and had very tough fishing. We only managed a handful of fish until about 12:30 or so. After that, it picked up and we ended up with a nice catch but we had to put some extra time in. Luis Paz from Elizabeth, NJ won the pool with a 14 lb blue.

Saturday morning, it was very rough out and we headed back in early. Due to the weather, we didn’t make it out Saturday night.

Sunday morning, we fished offshore and we got off to a slow start. We picked away at 8-12 lb blues on both jigs and bait, and caught a couple albies.

This morning, we went out east near the edge of the mud hole. We read plenty of fish and fishing was good. We caught 8-14 lb blues on jigs and bait and picked away all day long. Our pool winner was Chris Burgess from Branson, MO with a 14 lb blue.

Sailing daily for blues from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every Friday & Saturday night from 7:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
