Reel Class 7/4 Half-Day Seabass & Fluke
Half day trip today with Ryan and his boys as well as their grandad bob.
Good action with seabass locally with loads of shorts and some keepers. Also released a nice 17" blackfish. Bites were constant and steady - no ling for us today as I'm guessing they are still moving off. Once they had their fill of that we made a few drifts for fluke in the same general area boxing one 19" keeper and 8 shorts. On our last drift the action was basically drop and reel - but the crew had to head in for another engagement so we called it at 12. Mind you, all of our fluke bites were on gulp only - so the fish were definitely hungry as they didn't need any meat on the hooks to get bites! Nice trip with a great group of people!
