![]() Hit the Big D with the Predator this morning . Another tough day for us. We landed 4 Shad between us in 5 hours. All on flutter spoons. Lots of guys fishing on land and a few boats out there. Not much catching this morning. River is still very low. We could use some rain . I still dont think the main run has come through yet. We should have a good 3 to 4 weeks left of prime shad fishing. Back at in Sunday afternoon . It's gonna break open open soon up there very soon. I hope I'm not working when it does.

![]() While fishing in the D&R Canal for trout today I saw a few boats out and I saw one boat land two I'm guessing they were shad. I've lived within five minutes of the river for more than half my life, have caught tons of smallmouths in the Big D but yet never fished for shad. I've been tempted to just toss a spoon or inline spinner to see if I could catch one from shore when the trout aren't biting but figured it wouldn't work so I've never bothered.
