![]() Got out Sunday after the whole sky cleared up even though I would've preferred the cloud coverage. Still managed a nice amount of bass & a small dart even with the fish being deep in weed beds. Think they're gettin ready for the cooler temps as well. Here's a few of the nicer 1's.

![]() nice catching man...we devoted our day to walleye early reading the 90-100% cloud cover ALL DAY forecasts which were WAY off, so needless to say we had a terrible day haha. glad to see you hammered on some largies though!! they can't hind from you in those weeds!!

I will gladly take any fall pointers, just please don't tell me I need to start using crank bait lures, I have never in my life even gotten a bit on one. Hopefully jig bite stays good since I can fish those similar to senkos. Anyone have good results with plastic crawfish Texas rigged? The places i fish have lots of craws so that would seem to be a prime fall forage. Other than that I only see blue gills and frogs. This was my only catch of the weekend despite going out for an hour both days, and another both nights, fishing nomahegan, echo, Lenape, and even randomly Lake Solitude near High Bridge when I got lost trying to find spruce run and phone/gps was dead. Never been to SR and didn't make it this time either. |

![]() @logs22, no cranks? I'll use any & everything I can use with a spin casting setup. If I can't get anything with inline spinners or small jerk & crank baits, soft plastics are always great. I specifically use 4" Skippy fish, for bass. The lighter your setup, the better action these lil guys have whichever way you choose to rig them. I usually have it Texas rigged using a trailer hook.

Watch some of lard almightys videos, also check out more youtubers Heres a video on the powerbait grub. WATCH THE WHOLE THING, its only 52 seconds long, it demonstrates how amazing and versatile the grub really is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXXXXDLvvbA You have to learn more about the theory about where the fish go each season and what temperature each fish likes to bite. You need to have a whole arsenal of fishing theory and lures at your disposal to figure our where the fish are and what they want that day. Thats what separates the good fisherman from just a random person who throws a poll in the water. |

![]() Many lures will work, but usually this time of year retrieve aggressively cover water. When you find them they should be feeding aggressive.
