![]() My daughter and I arrived at the boat in a thick fog. We left the inlet in a thick fog and headed east. Today we were armed for anything from snappers to anything larger. Glad we brought the lightweight gear.
![]() ![]() Rods bent over, fish on and on and on, my daughter commented that it was a great trip on the way home. Building memories together. |

![]() Jason and I were also aboard the Cock Robin today (a few spots down from Team Supercool). We each were able to jig up 6 macks on 007's, 005's and Tsunami split tails. Jason also hooked and battled a false albacore before having his line cut off. The jig bite died and we switched over to bait. Drifting small bits of bait on a small live bait hook, we could watch the macks pick up the bait and then set the hook. Very similar to yellowtail snapper fishing. We each ended up with north of 25. I was pleasantly surprised how well these fish fight on light tackle. Only one false albacore was caught.

![]() Great fishing next to you guys. You both had the right jigs (smaller is certainly better at times) and caught them...impressive. I would have loved to see that albacore Jason hooked come to the boat, he fought that guy with the zing and zip that we all look forward to.
