![]() Out the door before 4 am
Arrived at the pond and was the only boat there...first to the scene of the crime I was fishing by 5 am. Managed to land 7 bass to 2.5 lbs all on top water and then the dreaded sun came up ![]() Bite died. Caught a couple of dinks on a spinner bait then switched to the jig. On three different "humps" and one point caught untold numbers of white perch ranging from 6-12 inches with most in the lower range, but on ultralight tackle, fish hitting on nearly every cast, and the rod bending after sun up, I can't complain. There was also the rogue yellow perch, crappie, and bluegill to spice up the catch. A good morning on the water as by 9:30 I was pulling the boat out. No need to roast in the sun. |

![]() That sun is a killah this time of year. I think the State just did some testing in there and found some 6lb. LMB

![]() If the lake has docks or thick surface vegetation I love the sun blaring down! Cause I know those bass are going into the shade! First part of the puzzle solved!
