![]() Hit up Cranberry Lake at about 6 this morning and managed only a single small perch for 4 hours on the lake. I threw everything I had at that lake and only had 2 other hits that spit the hook back at me. By 10 am it was starting to get hot out and my pale Irish skin began to glow a little pink so I packed it up and headed home.
Ran into two other guys fishing who had been out since 4am with only 4 fish between them. They told me that the lake had been sprayed with weed killer earlier this week and it looks like the fishing had died off with it. Might want to steer clear of Cranberry for a few weeks until the effects of the weed killer wear off. |

![]() My only skunks so far this year have been the two times I fished Aeroflex. Now that I have my fishfinder installed I might give it another shot since I can now see the layout of the lake.

Map is fairly accurate - launch is on the lower right corner on this map. Also depends on what you're fishing for - if it's bass, pickerel, etc. I would suggest a lot of places before Aeroflex. |

![]() I know one place they chemically weed killed and clearly way over did it...2 years and still no weeds, used to be a great bass lake, ruined! I wish they'd just stop that crap with the chemical weed kill. If you don't want a plant touching your leg while you swim, go in a damn pool!
All I can say about cranberry is 5 years ago or so it was a hell of a lot better than it is now. I don't even bother with it anymore.

![]() You also have Gardners Pond and Twin lakes there - no real launch on either although I suppose you could dump a small john boat in either with some help although you would have to carry it quite a ways for Gardners. These places are best suited for kayaks although launching anything in Gardners is a real PITA. Technically, twin lakes does have a launch but I wouldn't consider it for trailer launching. I've caught fish in both.

![]() All places mentioned fish well pre-weeds - before mid May. After that they really get clogged up. I guess its kind of a blessing because all those weeds protect the fish. I've had great bass days at Gardners in mid/late April and pretty much nothing any other time of year. Pads get thick and my patience thin.
