tony locantore " casa bella ristorante" trip

capt's kevin gerrity and dave bender took tony locantore of denville and owner of casa bella ristorante and friends out for their annual over night canyon trip on friday september 20,2013. upon arriving at the edge all we heard was very bad reports and slow fishing. what a difference a day makes. we worked all day and covered many miles, finally we found some fish and had two shots at the longfin. we hooked seven coming tight on four, losing one for a total of three and then a single. we set up for the night with high hopes but once again all the work and effort was for naught as we had only one tuna bite that never got hooked. back on the troll saturday moring in an angry ocean we put one more longfin in the box and headed for the barn. the guys worked with us side by side as they do every year and we enjoy their company. they did remind me that the last three trips were 15.. 11.. now 5, i guess the pressure is really on for 2014.
