![]() Recently I just went bass fishing at Lake Crieghton and caught 1 Decent bass and missed one that leaped out the water and got the hook. It was a fun trip except I lost almost all my good lures. Lures I used and had success on before were baby bass crank bait and pumpkinseed neon green curly tail power bait lures. My friend uses senkos and they have worked but personally i am not a fan of them. I want to buy some new lures when I go to replace them but I usually go in blind. I have wasted money on a rattle trap and some pre riged plastic worms. I really don't want to waste any of my money so any help for bass lures would be greatly appreciated. Snag prevention tips and knots would also be helpful. Thanks

![]() I don't know if you mean for that specific lake, but every tackle box needs a good selection of spinnerbaits in a variety of sizes and colors.

![]() Give senkos another try. They are the most effective soft plastic for bass IMO. I like the 5" in watermelon, black or earthworm. Texas rig or wacky just give it a couple pops and then let it fall, bass hit it on the way down.

![]() I understand senkos catch alot of fish I don't like fishing with them cause of the technique. I like reeling in a crankbait or curl tail worms and feeling the bass strike at it. And I don't mean for the septic lake I would just want any lure suggestions

![]() basics......
1. spinnerbaits in around 1/2 oz size, silver dual blades all black and a all white 2. rapalas, a shiner solored 7 or 9 size xrap, a floating version, a shad rap 3. some plastics, a curly tail on jig head, a shad shape on jig head, a power worm type w a curly tail on jig head 4.topwaters, zara spook/zara jr. in shiner color, skitter pop by rapala, a hollow body frog like SPRO or gooyah in natural colors 5. shallow crank, like a strike king KVD or live target lures pumplin seed, they swim 1-2 feet down. there are tons more, and diff stuff if you r fishing from shore or a boat matters. Usually from shore its slower finesse fishing, alot of times in weeds, so the senkos u dont like work great and other texas or weedless plastic rigs. If you are more into power fishing, get off the bass and into other species, we all started w bass pretty much, but u graduate to bigger and toothier things after a while |

![]() I usually fish from the shore went to effingers got a shad bomber crank bait 2 spinners and rooster tail. Landed 1 Bass caught another huge one that broke the line right as was landing it. Both on the crankbait which I lost to the fish. I currently am leading towards Crankbaits as I usually catch at least 1 good sized bass.Well I don't have anymore now! I would go fishing for pike or other things I just don't have access to a boat and I don't know any good spots on shore to find them. The easiest place for me to get to is Lake Crieghton where as far I know there is only Sunnies, Largemouth Bass, Carp, and the occisonal Crappie.
