Default L shaped SM

What do you make of this SM which looks deformed? It looks like L shape. Spine deformity?

Either that fish was dealt a crappy card at birth or some a-hole fisherman broke its back handling it and it somehow survived.

Spinal deformities can occur naturally or be the result of injury to a fish. Since the fish managed to nab your worm, I'm guessing it didn't affect his appetite too much.

It didn't look like the SM had any injury and he fought like a vicious SM he was. He was a tad over 2 lbs.
