Biggest of the Year, 38lbs 14oz

I went carping again for 6 hours this afternoon. I ended up with 15 carp and 2 cats. I caught my 3rd biggest carp ever at 38lbs 14oz along with a 22.8, a bunch of teens and some smaller ones. I caught the 38 and a few others on maple flavored puffs and the rest on oat balls. I do an online big 4 tournament run by a carp website every May and they give prizes for big fish and big 4 fish 1st 2nd and 3rd. Hopefully the big one I caught today will eat a pound and a half of my bait and come back to see me next week so I can enter her in the tournament

What size hooks do you use ? And what exactly are maple puffs, like the baby food? Seems like they would fall apart on the hook.
