Monmouth County Trout 11/5/11
I started out (against my better judgment) at the Manasquan River. Started at the gauging station dam armed with both worms and lures. To my surprise I did manage a brown trout; the only problem was that it was only slightly bigger than the 4" jerkbait I caught it on. That was the only action there, so then I moved downstream to Bryce Park. The ocean was at the top of the tide, and the river was as still as a lake. I saw a couple of fish rise, but no love on the worms or the jerkbait. I ended the day at Hockhockson Brook, where I scored a dink pickerel on a Panther Martin.
No skunk, but not the greatest day trout fishing by any means.
