Verona Park Trout
Fished my usual spot at the park this morning, the park had a lot of opening day anglers......More than usual....I guess it was the nice weather! It's usually kind of shitty on opening day but in any case I seen someone there that I had fished with the past few years in a row and he was actually there about 45 minutes before me and he only had one nice hit but it came off on the retrieve and not long after that I hooked up on a average size rainbow Trout about 9:30am and that was all she wrote for the next few hours not even a nibble, so I called it a day and maybe I will have better luck tomorrow or during the week after work!!
Power Bait was all I used for the morning.........oh well.....Keep on fishing!!

Re: Verona Park Trout
Thanks for the report. Any idea of the breakdown of what's stocked in there? I've tried it for bass a few times with no luck.

Re: Verona Park Trout
Beside trout I know there is Bass in there and Carp & Sunnies perch?
I never seen anything else come out of this lake but you never know what people throw in there so there could be some surprise monsters in there!! It is a big lake! Not that deep but pretty big! Maybe you can research the lake and see if there is any other fish living in there! Tom
