Anyone else headed out in the next couple day? Im headed out on Friday to get on the troll/jig for the first time this year. Gonna look for life...see what's around. Looks like calm weather...so thinking its going to be a madhouse. Anyone else with plans?

I was out last Friday, it wasn't as crowded as expected. Counted 45 boats at the AP some trolling and some jigging the fish and bait seemed to be concentrated in a small area. Tried Little Italy later and marked fish and bait scattered over a wide area. Talked to a friend that caught with nobody near them.

went a couple weekends ago... left back of RB at 1 AM and arrived at 330 AM. There was already like 25 boats scattered around. At false dawn we hooked up a double header--under and 49" over--landed both on jigs. Once they were in the boat we looked up and there was easily over 100 boats in the area--mostly jigging. It was mayhem. Had 5 or 6 more strikes shortly after that and boated two king macks, but no more tuna were landed on our boat. We headed for the barn around noon...

Point being--get there EARLY

After action report from Friday....didnt make it quote to LI as we have lots of life just north at shark ledge. Whales, Dolphins and lots of bait....tired jigging with no takers so got on the troll. Dragged the trackers and daisy chains around for a few hours and nothing. Lots of talk on the radio of similar results...no fish no life. Tried pot hopping around monster ledge and nobody home. Threw jigs...bait...sat there and watched with no mahi coming up.
Decided to head in and try for some fluke...but the current was ripping 2 knots. Was a learning experience running a 5 rod spread...till next time.
