Default Barnegat bay Fluke 6/22

We had good fishing and nice weather this morning. The Fluke were chewing pretty good right from the start and me and Danny caught over 20 shorts with only one keeper at 21 inches caught on a white gulp and jighead. Nothing really stood out today we caught on the dead sticked wonder rig and the jigging rigs although the jig out caught the teaser by alot today. The last few weeks we had the best bite on the incoming but today it was good on the ebb tide and the bite shutoff on the slack. Not a good keeper ratio lately but alot of action today

My plan to go to the 30 line today went to crap, so me and Danny went back out in the bay and another friend John joined us. Got an early start and the shorties were chewing right away, John got a thick 24 incher on our second drift on a pink bucktail teaser and killie. We stayed on the shorts and I dropped a very heavy fish and then lost one at the net that looked a bit over 20 inches. Alot of fish were puking up grass shrimp and the weather and drift conditions were good.

Nice fish! Caught all day yesterday but no keeps for us was tough to get the drift right with the wind. Lots of foul hooked fish the most I’ve ever seen which told me they were just nosing up but not biting what we were dropping. Many of the fair hooked fluke came on gulp sand eels, glad I had them!

We had to use a drift sock sock Saturday but I didn't have any foul hooked fish. Thanks for the comeback.
