Default Surf report

Started early Saturday morning in southern Monmouth. water was stained but I tried for a couple hours and got nothing and didn't really see anything going on. I did the Saturday night shift and went to a spot that has been good but the water there was like a chalky milky color. I think it was due to the beach replenishment a little south of there? Took one cast and drove south where I found it was better. Wasn't really familiar with that spot so I started casting and walking. Found a nice cut and scratched up 4 bass 20 to 30 inches, all on the plug nothing on the teaser. To sum it up so far I've had a good October and November has been a grind. The biggest issue for me has been dirty water and no bait in the wash. My friend did pretty good a ways south of me. Finally on this day of remembrance just want to thank those that serve and have served to protect our freedom.

The beach replenishment has all but ruined surf fishing in NJ.

Worst fall season I’ve had in memory.. I’ve put some serious time working some places I’ve had success and back checking logs of my own and older ones from my father. Will keep at it till the first weekend of December even if I don’t catch. If it turns on I’ll keep going till the fat lady sings sometime around 1/1
