![]() On Tuesday I had 20 minutes to kill, so I fished my home creek. Hooked up with one tiny rainbow, but he popped off the hook just as he got close to me. My 6th outing without success so far this year, my first with a bite. I was itching to catch something this week.
Wednesday afternoon I was driving home with my girlfriend on a backroad and we noticed a pond neither of us had noticed before. So naturally, I dropped her off, grabbed the pole and went back! It was small, maybe an acre at most, but looked like it had some decent depth to it, maybe 6 feet or so. It had some poles out in the middle, they acted as tree trunks but were man made. I walked the perimeter and threw a trout magnet on 4lb test. Hooked up with, landed and released a beautiful perch, my first fish of 2018 (picture in link below) https://www.flickr.com/gp/147680405@N08/a39h83 Hope everyone is catching! Tight lines!
