Re: 1/7 Cape May Blackfish
Holy Chit! Congrats to You All!! ! Jigging for tog.....You got me thinking how we use to ONLY drag natural bait for fluke, now the world and myself is bucktailing with Gulp. Hmmm I see Stelli also caught a Jumbo. I have to ask Stelli since I know him Very Well as a Competitor, was yours caught the so call normal way or on a jig? If not, do you think you would have caught more jigging for them? I know you don't post much but myself and hopefully others value your input. Dennis

Thursday, with, Stelios Gatanas, Kurtis Berry, Eric, Chris Flamini, & Capt. Chad. Again Boat limit, with 7 fish over 10 pounds, up to an 18.5lb. fish for Kurtis. While I didn't have a DD Tog, I did manage to catch my limit + on my brand new rod. And again a fair weather day in January? You are correct, Steli did not use a jig to catch his fish, actually I believe only 2 guys fished jigs & they are both pictured. Kurtis' slob was also caught the "old" way, and what a fish it was! While I did want to try the jig, I continued to use my new rod in hopes of catching a double digit fish to check the action on the blank. Never got the DD (actually rolled a few) but I did manage some nice roasters and for me to have a limit + on both days is just fantastic, can't wait to get back down there!

Re: 1/7 Cape May Blackfish
Congrats Kurtis on PB. Great job to Chad and Eric for sticking with the jigs and showing how it's done.

Re: 1/7 Cape May Blackfish
Congrats to Kurtis on the fish of a lifetime. He was busy catching all day. Capt Chad showed the southern boys how it is done up north. The mate Bob and Capt Tom could not believe it when he swung his first double digit. When that 10.5 hit the deck with a giant thump all they could do was laugh. With his light jigging rod he was forced to accept their help on his bigger fish. Even in 90 feet of water the jigs produced well all day. I got a nice 14# for my biggest so far on the jig. Most of the big fish were released to be enjoyed by someone else again. A great day with great company.
