Totowa Bait and Tackle has GIANT shiners if you need bait. ive seen 5inch shiners from that shop.

Fish every bridge you see on google maps. riverside ave. the mill in little falls. between lackawana ave and rt 80. hillery st. 31st street. pennington park.
anywhere past the great falls is gona be HOOD. straight gangsters.

lots of thorns and bugs.

There is a launch behind Memorial Park in Fairlawn- drive all the way thru the parking lot towards the river. I've launched there a few times (including last Saturday) and paddled upstream to the bridges. I've gone as far as the train bridge which is 4th one from there. Some is pretty easy paddle, a few places it gets low and fast, I've had to get out and pull my kayak. Did well a few times with smallies, lot of dinks with some nice ones mixed in. Never fished for pike there, but state stocking map shows they put them in all around there. Good luck.
